Kim Beesley, Managing Director of European Geophysical Services, which he co-founded in 1994.
Kim has over 40 years experience in borehole geophysical and video surveying with particular emphasis on water well condition assessment. He started his geophysical career in Botswana working as a scientific assistant with Geological Survey and after obtaining an MSc in Geophysics returned to Africa as a geophysicist for the Zambian Copper Mines. In 1979 he was appointed geophysicist to the Water Research Centre UK, later moving to be logging manager for various international companies before forming European Geophysical Services Ltd in 1994.
Kim was a member of the British Standards Committee on Borehole Geophysical Logging for Water Wells and currently lectures and gives seminars to MSc courses run by The University of Newcastle and the Environment Agency. Publications have included the down-hole geophysics chapter of a water practice manual published by the Institution of Water Engineers and Scientists.
