P&S Wave μSeismic Tool

The P&S Wave μSeismic Tool is designed for simultaneous measurement of P-wave (compressional) and S-wave (shear) velocities, offering improved accuracy and resolution compared to other seismic methods. Engineered for versatility, the tool performs exceptionally well in both shallow, slower formations and deeper, high-velocity formations.

This tool features two receiver modules, each equipped with transducers specifically designed for P-waves and S-waves. The P-wave detector uses a piezoelectric device, while the S-wave detector is a geophone. Its dipole energy source generates strong shear waves by directing energy pulses perpendicular to the borehole wall, ensuring reliable seismic measurements.

The acquired data is recorded in the industry-standard SEG2 file format, ensuring compatibility with established analysis tools. Please note that this tool is suitable for fluid-filled, unlined boreholes.analysing these formations with precision.
