Water Sampler Tool

The Water Sampler Tool is designed to collect fluid samples from specific depths within a borehole with precision and reliability. Equipped with a sample tube that holds up to 2 litres, the tool features a surface-controlled valve that opens at the desired depth to allow fluid entry and then securely seals the sample for transport back to the surface.

By optimising sample points using data from fluid temperature, electrical conductivity, and velocity logs, this tool ensures accurate and representative fluid sampling for hydrogeological, environmental, and geotechnical investigations.

  • Accurate Depth Sampling: Collects fluid samples from precise depths within the borehole.
  • Sealed Sample Integrity: Surface-controlled valve ensures samples are securely sealed for analysis.
  • Optimised Sampling: Uses data from fluid property logs to enhance sample selection.
  • Dimensions: 1250mm (length) x 38mm (diameter)
  • Capacity: 1–2 litres (approx.)
  • Weight: 3kg
  • Maximum Temperature: 80°C

  • Sampling Time: ~10 minutes per sample
  • Travel Speed to Sample Point: 10m/min

  • Environment: Fluid-filled boreholes only
  • Lining: Suitable for unlined, steel, or plastic-screened boreholes

The Water Sampler Tool is an essential instrument for collecting high-quality fluid samples from boreholes, ensuring precise data for water quality analysis, contamination studies, and resource assessments. Its efficient design and optimised sampling capabilities make it an indispensable tool for professionals in the field.
